Baseball Recap: Lansdale Catholic Find Success

Lansdale Catholic hadn't done well against St. Joseph's Prep recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Crusaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Hawks. This was payback for the Crusaders, who suffered a 4-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Hayden Stasuk was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Jake Benner also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Lansdale Catholic's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for St. Joseph's Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Coming up, Lansdale Catholic will square off against Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Friars/Pandas have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for St. Joseph's Prep, they will take on Bishop Eustace Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
