Basketball Recap: Northfield Takes a Loss

Northfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt an 81-28 defeat at the hands of the Williamstown Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, with their most recent loss being a 89-12 defeat back in January.

Evan Bailey was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-15 from beyond the arc to rack up 27 points and seven boards for Williamstown. Bailey continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Mascitti, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Northfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Williamstown, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.

Northfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-35 defeat against Oxbow on the 12th. As for Williamstown, they have also already played their next contest, a 65-60 loss against Richford on the 12th.
