Basketball Recap: Springfield Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Springfield faced off against Springboro on Friday. The Wildcats snuck past the Panthers with a 56-52 victory. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Panthers on their court since January 3, 2020.

Springfield has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 60.5 points this season. As for Springboro, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Springfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-59 victory against Purcell Marian on the 6th. As for Springboro, they will venture away from home to challenge Fairmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
