Amsterdam hadn't done well against Schuylerville recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Rams came out on top against the Horses by a score of 7-2. The Rams' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Elianna Tirado was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Amsterdam's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Schuylerville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Amsterdam will venture away from home to challenge Gloversville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies/Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.44 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Schuylerville, they will welcome Scotia-Glenville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
