Volleyball Recap: Eastlake Comes Up Short

Eastlake saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Valley Christian Trojans. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Valley Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaydence Hirsch out in front who had seven digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Hirsch a new career-high.

Eastlake's defeat dropped their record down to 17-19. As for Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season.

Eastlake will take on Otay Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Valley Christian, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Palo Verde on the 11th.
