Basketball Game Preview: Lakewood Tigers vs. Chatfield Chargers

The Lakewood Tigers will head out to face off against the Chatfield Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakewood comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lakewood took on Arvada West on Saturday. Lakewood was dealt a 102-28 loss at the hands of Arvada West. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Wildcats are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, Chatfield played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Ralston Valley, falling 80-57. The Chargers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Chatfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.

Lakewood and Chatfield were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Lakewood came up empty-handed after a 51-50 defeat. Can Lakewood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
