Basketball Recap: Brooklyn Ritchie Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Prairie Du Chien

While Fennimore didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 52-46 W over the Prairie du Chien Blackhawks on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Fennimore got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooklyn Ritchie out in front who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Kate Kenney, who posted 16 points and six rebounds.

Fennimore smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Fennimore's record now sits at 4-0. As for Prairie du Chien, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fennimore will face off against New Glarus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prairie du Chien, they will square off against River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
