Basketball Recap: DeKalb Comes Up Short

DeKalb lost against Bellmont back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The DeKalb Barons fell to the Bellmont Braves 60-54. The Barons just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

DeKalb's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Bellmont, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-14.

Looking ahead, DeKalb will challenge Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. DeKalb is facing Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran at the right time seeing as Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Bellmont, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Angola at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Angola is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season.
