Volleyball Recap: Pawling Comes Up Short

Pawling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Haldane Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Tuesday.

Pawling took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 24-26, 23-25, 25-13, 15-7.

Pawling's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Haldane, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-11 record this season.

Pawling does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Haldane, they will welcome Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
