Basketball Recap: Stockton's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Monday

Stockton won the last time they faced Marionville and things went their way on Monday too. The Stockton Tigers enjoyed a cozy 60-41 victory over the Marionville Comets. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Comets are ranked 410th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stockton's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Marionville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Stockton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Marionville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
