Fowler was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to third in Southern Plains-Iroquois (8 Man). The Goldbugs beat Deerfield 57-12 earlier in the week.
Minneola extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bucklin, 52-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
South Central's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Stetsen Underwood threw for 115 and one touchdown and Jimmy Cook had 70 yards receiving. On the ground Underwood chipped in 182 yards. Koy Alexander helped South Central's passing attack out by catching one ball for 45 yards.
Ingalls's Zeke Cox and Lamontae Heady have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cox has thrown for 716 yards this season, while Heady, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has eight catches for 269 yards. Minneola's Matt Mcclaren leads the league in rushing yards with 929.
The Wildcats' Mcclaren needs only 71 yards against the Spartans next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in Southern Plains-Iroquois (8 Man) this week will be when the Timberwolves take on Kiowa County. South Central is currently in second, while the Mavericks are in sixth.
Minneola took down the Red Aces 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
