Pine Grove snaps three-game streak of wins at home

After a string of three wins, the Pine Grove Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Ashland by a score of 60-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Among those leading the charge was Morgan Crutcher, who scored 22 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points.

Pine Grove's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Ashland, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Grove will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alcorn Central at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Ashland and Walnut will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Walnut will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
