Softball Game Preview: Sidney Eagles vs. Custer County Cowboys

Sidney hasn't had much luck against Custer County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will welcome the Cowboys at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sidney is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season last Thursday. They came up short against Havre, falling 12-2.

Sidney saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izabella Baisch, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Custer County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-3 to Dawson County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cowboys have suffered against the Red Devils since April 18, 2017.

Jacie Chapweske made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Milee Ingraham also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Custer County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Sidney, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
