Recap: Perry Commodores vs. Continental Pirates

The Perry Commodores stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 45-8 victory over Continental. That 37 points margin sets a new team best for Perry this season.

Perry found their leader in underclassman Khaliah Luster, who scored 18 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Luster has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mary Hoersten, who scored four points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Continental struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Perry racked up 11 assists.

The win makes it two in a row for Perry and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for Continental, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry will take on North Baltimore at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. North Baltimore is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. As for Continental, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Jennings at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
