Ocean Lakes will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Tallwood on Tuesday. The Dolphins' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lions a 13-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Dolphins in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.
Tre Hamilton was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Aiden Skalski looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Mais, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ryan Gocio was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.
Ocean Lakes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tallwood only posted an OBP of .125.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Kellam was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell just short of Grafton by a score of 2-1.
Kellam's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Ocean Lakes, their record now sits at 11-4.
Ocean Lakes took their win against Kellam in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dolphins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
