Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Handley

Skyline is 0-10 against Handley since April of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Hawks will welcome the Judges at 7:00 p.m.

Skyline is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Wednesday. They lost 4-0 to Fauquier. That's two games in a row now that Skyline have lost by exactly four goals.

Meanwhile, Handley entered their tilt with Harrisonburg on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Blue Streaks get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Handley, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Harrisonburg from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Handley pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Skyline might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Handley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
