Volleyball Recap: Newark Memorial Takes a Loss

Newark Memorial's tournament run continued when they took on King City on Saturday. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Malia Kuehn paced Newark Memorial's offense, picking up six kills. Kuehn got some help from Gianna Adame and her 14 assists.

Newark Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for King City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Newark Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against San Mateo on the 13th. As for King City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Willow Glen on the 13th.
