Nutley and Caldwell are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Raiders will be playing at home against the Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Saturday, Nutley didn't have quite enough to beat Lyndhurst and fell 3-2.

Nick Gaccione was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, Nutley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Machtemes, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Caldwell came up short against West Essex on Thursday, falling 9-3. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Nutley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.

Nutley skirted past Caldwell 4-2 in their previous meeting on Wednesday. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
