Baseball Recap: Bellaire Takes a Loss

After flying high against Union Local on Friday, Bellaire came back down to earth. The Big Reds lost 14-4 to the Jets on Monday. The Big Reds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jets earlier this season, when they won 14-8.

Brae Schmidli was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Bellaire's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Union Local, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Bellaire has already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against Buckeye Local on the 23rd. As for Union Local, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-5 win against John Marshall on the 22nd.
