Softball Game Preview: Hamilton Township Rangers vs. Newark Wildcats

The Hamilton Township Rangers will venture away from home to take on the Newark Wildcats at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton Township has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hamilton Township is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Fairfield Union on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (14-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Hamilton Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was L Baker, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Newark came up short against New Albany on Monday, falling 15-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Eagles since April 10, 2019.

Hamilton Township has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Newark, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.
