Football Game Preview: Linden Lions vs. Calaveras Red Hawks + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Andrew Juarez and Enrique Hernandez are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Linden Lions will take on the Calaveras Red Hawks at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Linden will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

Linden is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They secured a 27-21 W over Summerville. The Lions pushed the score to 27-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears cut but never quite recovered from.

Linden's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was DeAndre Smith, who picked up 110 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Smith's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.

Meanwhile, Calaveras entered their tilt with Denair on Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They claimed a resounding 41-0 victory over the Coyotes. The result was nothing new for the Red Hawks, who have now won eight games by 27 points or more so far this season.

Calaveras' win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Linden, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Linden was dealt a bruising 42-12 loss at the hands of Calaveras in their previous matchup back in October. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hernandez, who rushed for 194 yards and two scores while picking up 9.2 yards per carry.
