Timberlake hasn't had much luck against Lake City recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will head out to square off against the Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. Timberlake is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Timberlake's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Bonners Ferry 15-0. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Shae Jones made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Reese Allaway was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Prestyn Gardner also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Timberlake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Lake City faced Coeur d'Alene in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Timberwolves fell 11-8 to the Vikings. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
KaeLee Kolden stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Karsyn DeMent was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Timberlake pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lake City, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7-1.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Timberlake has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. However, it's not like Lake City struggles in that department as they've averaged .456. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Timberlake came up short against Lake City when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 6-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
