Baseball Recap: Lutheran's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Lutheran has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.8 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cabrini Monarchs, falling 11-1. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lutheran saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Baltz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lutheran fell to 4-1. As for Cabrini, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lutheran will square off against Cranbrook Kingswood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cabrini, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against University of Detroit Jesuit at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
