After a string of five wins, Westminster's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint James Saints.

Ryley Winebrunner and Alyssa Ward stepped up to the plate in a big way. Winebrunner went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Ward went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That home run was Winebrunner's first of the season.

Westminster's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Saint James, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Westminster will square off against South River at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Owls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Seahawks have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Saint James, they will take on Foxcroft at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
