Meanwhile, Beacon entered their tilt with Brandeis on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 8-4.
Elin Turco was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 18 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than 15 strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Annika Ortolano, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.
