Soccer Game Preview: Community School of Davidson vs. Elkin

The Community School of Davidson Spartans will square off against the Elkin Buckin' Elks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Community School of Davidson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Mountain Island Charter a 3-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Community School of Davidson.

They hit Mountain Island Charter with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tripp Browning, Noah Slack, and Santiago Monroy.

Meanwhile, Elkin won against Christ the King on Thursday with five goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Monday. The Buckin' Elks were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Bradford Prep. Elkin's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five matchups.

Community School of Davidson's win bumped their record up to 13-5-1. As for Elkin, their victory bumped their record up to 22-2.
