Baseball Recap: Ponder Comes Up Short

Ponder fell victim to Boyd and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 17-0 to the Yellowjackets. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Ponder's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Boyd, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

While Ponder had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
