Recap: Bayshore Bruins vs. Bradenton Christian Panthers
The Bayshore Bruins suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 81-53 loss at the hands of Bradenton Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bayshore in their matchups with Bradenton Christian: they've now lost seven in a row.
Several Bruins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Antonio Romo, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Romo has scored all season. Another player making a difference was William Strawbridge, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Bayshore has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Bradenton Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-4.
Bayshore will challenge Out-of-Door Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Out-of-Door Academy is ranked 544th, while Bayshore is ranked 542nd). As for Bradenton Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m.
