West Vigo is 8-2 against Sullivan since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Vikings will face off against the Golden Arrows at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (West Vigo 3.5, Sullivan 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

West Vigo's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Brown County as they made off with a 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Sullivan and Northview meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Golden Arrows skirted past the Knights 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Arrows have posted against the Knights since April 11, 2018.

West Vigo's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Sullivan, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.

West Vigo took their win against Sullivan when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
