Softball Recap: Bellwood-Antis Comes Up Short

Bellwood-Antis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 17-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Bellwood-Antis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Martin, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Hayden Taylor also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Bellwood-Antis' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellwood-Antis will venture away from home to face off against Penns Valley Area at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they will head out to square off against Hollidaysburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
