Basketball Recap: Ray Texans vs. Victoria East Titans
This season hasn't been kind to the Ray Texans, who are still winless after their 20th contest. They had to suffer through a rough 93-17 loss at the hands of Victoria East. Ray was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-3.
Victoria East's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Saleen Longoria led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven steals and five assists. It was the first time this season that Longoria scored 15 or more points. Kamryn Jackson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds.
Ray dropped their record down to 0-20 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Victoria East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.
Ray does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Victoria East also has no future games currently scheduled.
