            Softball Recap: Haskell Indians vs. Reagan County Owls        
        
		
        
        
            Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Haskell walked away with it. They came out on top against the Reagan County Owls by a score of  5-2  on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

 Paige Sheets made a splash no matter where she played. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.2  strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Rebekah Cunningham, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Paisley Chavez-Guevara, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.
Haskell's win was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 17-6. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Reagan County,  with the  loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-4.
As of now, neither Haskell nor the Owls have any future games scheduled.
