Basketball Recap: Don Bosco Comes Up Short

Don Bosco has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took an 80-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Denver Cyclones on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Cyclones are ranked 42nd).

Don Bosco's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Denver, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.

Don Bosco does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Denver, they will square off against Waterloo Christian at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Denver knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 21 games -- so hopefully Waterloo Christian likes a good challenge.
