Basketball Recap: Parker Amos' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bethlehem Center over West Greene

Bethlehem Center played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 64-39 to the West Greene Pioneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered against the Pioneers since December 12, 2016.

Bethlehem Center's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Amos, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Kurowski, who earned six points.

West Greene's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lane Allison led the charge by going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc to rack up 29 points. Allison's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Matthew Wassil was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Bethlehem Center has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for West Greene, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Bethlehem Center will square off against Winchester Thurston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Greene, they will challenge Brentwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
