Softball Game Preview: Maywood CES Wolfpack vs. Elizabeth Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Maywood CES will face off against Elizabeth. The Wolfpack will take on the Bulldogs at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. Maywood CES is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Elizabeth a ten-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Maywood CES turned things around against Elizabeth on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over the Bulldogs.

Maywood CES got a massive performance out of Emma Flores, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Flores a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Camila Dominguez, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Maywood CES always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .788. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Maywood CES, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5.
