Soccer Game Preview: Seffner Christian vs. Carrollwood Day

Seffner Christian is 1-8-1 against Carrollwood Day since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Crusaders will face off against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Seffner Christian will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Bell Creek Academy on Thursday. The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for Seffner Christian, who have now won three matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Carrollwood Day kept a clean sheet against Saint Stephen's Episcopal on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Falcons.

Seffner Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-2-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for Carrollwood Day, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.

Seffner Christian came up short against Carrollwood Day in their previous meeting back in January, falling 2-0. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
