Baseball Game Preview: Binghamton Patriots vs. Windsor Central Black Knights

The Binghamton Patriots will head out to take on the Windsor Central Black Knights at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. The last three games Binghamton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Binghamton didn't have quite enough to beat Johnson City and fell 7-6.

Dominick Bernthon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was CJ Rosado, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Windsor Central came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Purple Tornado. Considering the Black Knights have won four games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Windsor Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-2-1. As for Binghamton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Binghamton suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Windsor Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
