Basketball Game Preview: Tillamook Cheesemakers vs. Astoria Fishermen

Tillamook is 1-9 against Astoria since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tillamook Cheesemakers will face off against the Astoria Fishermen at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Tillamook lost to St. Helens on the road by a 63-48 margin.

Meanwhile, Astoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-59 heartbreaker at the hands of The Dalles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Fishermen have suffered since January 5, 2024.

Astoria's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Tillamook, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Tillamook came up short against Astoria in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 73-65. Can Tillamook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
