Football Recap: Lake Dallas Comes Up Short Despite Dj Hicks' Big Defensive Game + How To Watch

If Lake Dallas was riding high fresh off their 35-14 takedown of Denton last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell 14-10 to the Brewer Bears on Friday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Lake Dallas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Dj Hicks. Another thorn in Brewer's side was Lane Hedges, who made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Lake Dallas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Brewer, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Lake Dallas will take on Kaufman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brewer, they will square off against Aledo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Bears their first taste of in-conference action this season.
