Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Gunner Eure stepped things up a notch to give St. Patrick the 'W'. Eure tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The performance marked the fewest hits he has had since back in April of 2024. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Eure's effort led St. Patrick over Picayune and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eure has dominated as far as hits are concerned (he's averaged 0.5 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering Picayune has only allowed 8.83 per game this season.
