Jadeveon Clowney may take more time to make his decision.

The South Carolina Gamecocks continued to collect in-state recruits this week as half-brothers Gerald G. Dixon of South Pointe and Gerald Dixon Jr. of Northwestern committed to the SEC school.

The Dixons, whose father, also named Gerald, played at South Carolina and for 10 years in the NFL, both play on the defensive line. Of the 26 verbal commitments the Gamecocks have received, seven are in-state players.

"I wanted to go to college with my brother and we were tired of playing against each other," Gerald Jr. told the Rock Hill Herald.

Gerald Jr. finished the year with 78 tackles, 10 sacks, five tackles for loss and four caused fumbles as he helped the Trojans to an undefeated season and 4A Division II state championship.

Gerald G. didn't get as much attention at South Pointe as he played opposite Jadeveon Clowney, considered one of the top recruits in the nation. Gerald G. may have put up big numbers because of the attention that Clowney draws, as the other Dixon finished with 132 tackles, 19.5 sacks and 18 tackles for loss.

"I finally got them in red and black," said their father, who is an assistant coach at Rock Hill High School, to the newspaper. "We're going to start a legacy down there. They need some help on defense and we hope to talk a couple of other Rock Hill boys into going to South Carolina. If we do, we'll have a steel wall."{PAGEBREAK}CLOWNEY UPDATE
The recruitment of Clowney may not be over by National Signing Day.

Bobby Carroll, his coach at South Pointe, told Palmetto Sports that he wasn't sure if the defensive end would have his mind made up by Feb. 2. Carroll also told the site that Clowney will cancel a visit to Clemson after Tigers' defensive ends coach Chris Rumph left the school for a job at Alabama.

Clowney, who was named the USA Today Defensive Player of the Year, has taken an official visit to South Carolina and will take one to Alabama on Jan. 14 and Florida State on Jan. 21.

STEWART TAKES LIBERTY JOB
Former Easley assistant coach Kyle Stewart has accepted the heading coaching position for the football team at Liberty, the Greenville News reported.

Stewart replaces Curtis Middleton, who had a 4-36 record in four seasons at the school. Stewart, who graduated from Easley, helped revive that program this season. The Green Wave went from one win in 2009 to a 9-4 season this fall and the second round of the playoffs.
