Soccer Recap: Speedway Takes a Loss

Speedway and Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Speedway had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-2. Speedway were not able to make up for their defeat to Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Henry Woods and Joey Heaviland scored both of Speedway's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Speedway's loss dropped their record down to 10-6-2. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Speedway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 2:00 p.m. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
