Basketball Game Preview: Graham G-Men vs. Virginia High Bearcats

Graham hasn't had much luck against Virginia High recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Graham G-Men will square off against the Virginia High Bearcats at 8:00 p.m. Graham knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Virginia High likes a good challenge.

Graham is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They snuck past Central Wise with a 66-62 victory. The G-Men haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Virginia High came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Blue Devils 57-55. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th in Virginia, while the Blue Devils are ranked 213th in Virginia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Virginia High's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Graham, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.

Graham came up short against Virginia High in their previous meeting on Saturday, falling 70-61. Can Graham avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
