Kearney waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Schuyler Warriors. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Kearney were the better team in the second half.

Kaden Slaymaker and Aiden Nutter scored all three of Kearney's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Kearney's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three games. As for Schuyler, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Kearney will be taking part in a tournament against Lexington at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lexington will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Kearney surely won't give up without a fight. As for Schuyler, they will take on Grand Island in a tournament on Saturday. Schuyler's defense better be ready for this one: Grand Island have averaged an impressive 3 goals per game this season.
