Volleyball Recap: Golden West's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Golden West lost against Caruthers back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trailblazers fell 3-1 to the Blue Raiders. The loss put an end to the Trailblazers' undefeated start to the season.

Golden West was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Caruthers work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-27, 29-27, 25-23.

Raegan Garland paced Golden West's offense, picking up 18 kills. Garland were helped by Regan Morris and Karolyne Moran, who contributed 11 assists each. Moran was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Golden West's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Caruthers, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Golden West will head out to take on Hanford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Caruthers, they will be taking part in a tournament against Smith Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
