League recap: Karnes City scores huge upset over Poth

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Poth, who took down 521st ranked Poth, 10-7.

Karnes City extended the longest winning streak in 2A-2 Region IV District 15 this week by beating the Pirates, 10-7. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Badgers.

Dilley's Will Urban and Sabby Torres have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Urban has thrown for 637 yards this season, while Torres has 13 catches for 210 yards. Matthew Valadez from Stockdale leads the league in rushing with 1061 yards.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Brahmas take on Karnes City. Stockdale's offense has scored 211 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Badgers have allowed only 63 on the year.

A big matchup in 2A-2 Region IV District 15 this week will be when the Wolves take on Poth. Dilley is currently in third, while Andrew King's team is in second.

Karnes City moved up to 576 from 709 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Badgers climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Pirates 10-7.
