Baseball Recap: Joseph City Takes a Loss

Joseph City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 16-0 to the St. Johns Redskins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 12-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Joseph City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyan Larsen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Joseph City's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for St. Johns, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-8.

Coming up, Joseph City will head out to face off against Fredonia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Johns, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Many Farms at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lobos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.25 runs per game on average), something the Redskins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
