Baseball Recap: McGehee Takes a Loss

McGehee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 18-8 to the Baptist Prep Eagles.

Dakota McMickle stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Clemons, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

McGehee's record now sits at 2-4. As for Baptist Prep, their record is now 8-1.

Looking ahead, McGehee will face off against Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. McGehee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Baptist Prep, they will square off against Quitman at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Baptist Prep knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Quitman likes a good challenge.
