Soccer Game Preview: Catalina vs. Palo Verde

Catalina has won five straight games at home, while Palo Verde has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Catalina Trojans will host the Palo Verde Titans at 6:00 p.m. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

On Monday, it was close, but Catalina sidestepped Pusch Ridge Christian Academy for a 3-2 victory.

Meanwhile, Palo Verde kept a clean sheet against Thatcher on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Eagles 1-0. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by just one goal.

Palo Verde is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those seven contests. As for Catalina, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2-2.
