Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Pleasant Tigers vs. The Colony Cougars

Mt. Pleasant is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Denison as Mt. Pleasant made off with a 70-47 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, The Colony came tearing into Tuesday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Redhawks by a score of 66-54. The Cougars pushed the score to 50-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Redhawks cut but never quite recovered from.

The Colony pushed their record up to 25-10 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for Mt. Pleasant, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.
